Seven Localities Pilot Double-decker Bus Service
Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Thua Thien – Hue, Lam Dong, Kien Giang and Ho Chi Minh city will pilot transport services by double-decker bus, announced the Ministry of Transport.
According to the Ministry, the pilot project will facilitate the transport of local people, increase traffic safety, reduce congestion and build an urban civilization. At the same time, the service is expected to satisfy tourists by saving time and money.
Earlier, Ha Noi launched the first double-decker bus named “Hop on-Hop off” on May 30th, offering its passengers a tour to 30 famous destinations of the capital.
The double-deck bus can carry 80 passengers and meets the European emission standard Euro 4.
The capital set to launch the second double-decker bus tour, named as “Thang Long – Ha Noi city tour”, on October 10th.
The 14.8 km – route runs from Con Coc flower garden (Ngo Quyen street) – Hai Ba Trung – Quang Trung – Trang Thi – Dien Bien Phu – Hoang Dieu…, operating from 09h00 to 17h30, with 30 minutes frequency.

Muong Lo Tourism-Culture Week To Resume On October 12-1
The Muong Lo Tourism-Culture Week and the Mu Cang Chai Terraced Field Festival will take place in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai on October 12-14, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Tien has said.
Accordingly, the Miss Muong Lo contest is slated for October 12, while a carnival with the participation of 100 artists and an art performance will take place the next day.
Notably, the “Yen Bai – Heritage Journey” programme which will start on October 13 morning will be a highlight of the events.
Meanwhile, the Mu Cang Chai Terraced Field Festival will also feature various activities, such as a contest of H’Mong panpipe performance, a goat fight, community tourism activities and a photo exhibition on terraced paddy fields by domestic famous photographers.
Southern Khmer Folk Singing Festival Opens In Soc Trang
The first Khmer folk singing festival of the Mekong Delta region opened in Soc Trang province on October 1, drawing more than 300 contestants, mostly students, amateur artists and artisans from regional localities.
The festival is also an opportunity to honour, preserve, and develop the unique art of the Khmer people, contributing to developing the cultural identities of the group, while meeting the demand for folk art from locals and audiences from other localities, he said.
The festival will run until October 5 in Studio 3 of the Soc Trang radio-TV station. The opening and closing ceremonies are broadcast live on channels STV1 and STV2 of Soc Trang TV, as well as channel 5 of the Vietnam Television.
