Viet Nam Welcomes Nearly 8.5 Milions International Tourists In First Half Of 2019
Acorrding to General Statistics Office, international visitors to Viet Nam in June estimated 1,185,445 arrivals, up 0.2% over the same period last year. Total international arrivals in 6 months reached 8,480,993 arrivals, increasing 7.5% over the same period last year.
Of which, visitors traveling by air were 6,658,268 arrivals, seeing a growth of 4.5%; by sea: 139,164 (-19,9%); and by road: 1,683,561 arrivals (+24.9%).
In the first six months of 2019, most of source markets increased over the same period last year, such as: Thailand (+45.4%); Taiwan (+27.0%); Indonesia (+21.9%); South Korea (+21.3%); Philippines (+20.4%); Japan (+12.8%); Malaysia (+12.6%); Italy (+10.7%); Denmark (+9.5%) and Norway (+8.5%); USA (+6.3%); Africa (+8.9%).
In this period, the number of domestic trippers estimated 45.5 million. Total tourism receipt reached VND 338,200 billion, representing an increase of 8.4% over the same period of 2018.

Ho Chi Minh City to host Viet Nam-RoK Culture, Tourism Festival
The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) in Vietnam will organise a Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) Culture and Tourism Festival in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of September.
The annual event will feature a series of activities to promote the cultural and tourism attractions of the two countries, including a showcase of new destinations, tour products and music and art performances, with the participation of Vietnamese and Korean famous artists.
The Korean agency expects to showcase its country’s friendly and beautiful images as well as cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
Besides the festival, the KTO will also organise various events to promote the RoK’s tourism in Vietnam, including a road show on Korean MICE tourism in Hanoi in July and the Korea Travel Awards in Hanoi and HCM City in December.

Tickets For Formula 1 Race In Ha Noi Go On Sale
Tickets for the Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix 2020 went on sale via all channels from the morning of July 17.
Hospitality (VIP), grandstand and general admission tickets are up for grabs for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the event, or as three-day combo tickets.
Hospitality ticket prices for a three-day combo range from 49,330,000 VND (2,140 USD) to 96,500,000 VND (4,190 USD), giving purchasers access to food, entertainment and other privileges.
Grandstand tickets include premium grandstand, standard grandstand and unreserved grandstand. Three-day ticket costs from 3,890,000 VND (170 USD) to 9,090,000 VND (395 USD), while the cheapest one-day ticket is 1,560,000 VND (67 USD).
Meanwhile, general admission ranges from 700,000 VND (30 USD) to 1,750,000 VND (76 USD).
